This product is composed of an incredibly strong, inorganic mat of non-woven glass fibres which has been thoroughly permeated with oxidized asphalt. Type 6 surface is covered with talc to prevent sticking in the roll. Superior performance characteristics of a conventional organic felt 4-ply system can be attained using only three plies of Type 6. This sheet complies, in all respects, to CAN/CSA-A123.17 B.U.R. Asphalt-Saturated Glass Fibre Mat Type 1, and ASTM D2178 Type VI specification
